Daily Prompt Question: What are some things you’re thankful for?

I’m mostly thankful for my blog and my followers, always. I’m almost at 200! THANK YOU!! It means a lot you guys don’t even know.


I’m thankful for my ability to create posts that help me and help others going through the same issues as me. It has brought out the best in me, and when I’m working for my blog, I’m working on myself as well. I use this as a way to keep track of my mental wellness journey. This ties into another thing I am thankful for, my progress over the past few years. Since my blog, my mind is more at ease. I can control my reactions a little better, Now, I still have a ways to go, BUT I’m so glad to be where I am now mentally. I only wished I’d done something about it sooner!


Finally, I am thankful for everyone in my life. My family, of course. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today, and I think I turned out pretty awesome!
I’m thankful for the friends that I’m closest to, I don’t let too many people in or involved with my life, so it’s rare for me to have “friends” I’m picky! But the ones that I do have. I hope they know how much they mean to me.
I’m solely thankful for my boyfriend. How did I get so lucky? He’s been with me through it all, good, bad he’s still is so kind and so sweet and caring. He takes care of me, makes me coffee, keeps me calm, easy-going, plus he laughs at all my jokes! He’s going to be the best husband/dad anyone could ever have.
I love him so much. He deserves more from me because I am one lucky girl!

Daily Prompt Question: How often do you walk or run?

I love to go for walks. I don’t go as often as I’d like.

When I lived in Reno NV, I sure wish I would had done more.
I tried to run for a bit, but I get way too tired to be trying to run anywhere for fun.
Although, I do love the feeling it gives off when taking a calming stroll.

In Reno, I’d take off walking for hours!
One time, I found the cutest little hidden coffee shop! I had to check it out so I got myself a coffee, and sat down outside to journal/read a little. Across the street was an old man with his harmonica playing away for everyone walking by. It was beautiful!

I also love watching the animals while taking walks. All the birds, ducks, dogs just doing their things, enjoying life without a care in the world.
When I go for walks I feel the world stop. Things slow down, and I can positively reflect on things around me without judgment. My heart feels whole.❤️ Walking helps me clear my mind when I’m stuck inside my head overthinking myself to death. I’m more grateful and aware of my blessings.

Be positive today!

Take a moment today to think about 5 things in your life right now that make you happy and explain why it makes you happy.

Here’s my list..

  1. Yoga
    I love yoga and meditation, it’s a new hobby of mine that I’ve been excited to learn more about. Yoga/Meditation has TONS of physical and mental health benefits. Everyone should try it!
  2. Books
    When I’m reading I feel completely transformed into what ever I am reading. I feel as if the world is paused and everything is peaceful around me. Books are movies for your head. When I finish reading a book front to back I get so satisfied and excited to start a new one.
  3. Journaling
    Writing in my journal always makes me feel good. No matter what it is I write about, opening my book to a fresh page reminds me of the person I want to be. It keeps me motivated to continue working on my mental health. It helps to remind me I can be anything I want to be.
  4. Nintendo Switch
    Lately I have been OBSESSED with my Nintendo Switch and video games in general. It all started with Stardew Valley then ever since I’ve played my switch everyday! All kinds of games, Ive been playing: Mario Maker 2, Overwatch, Poker, Graveyard Keeper ,etc.
    Yeah.. I’m just obsessed and I’m not mad about it either. If you don’t have a Nintendo Switch i highly recommend! Then add me as a friend.😊
  5. Candles
    Candles, incense anything colorful that smells good and glows in the dark makes me happy. When I am at home I always light my candles. It gives me peace and wholesome vibes. I don’t feel right if I don’t have a candle or incense burning.

What principles define how you live?

  1. Love More.
    Love everything and everyone, and do it unconditionally. Especially yourself!
  2. Be Mindful.
    Keep in mind just how grateful you are for everything around you and everything you do.
  3. Live in the present.
    Dwelling on the past, keeps you in the past. You can never grow and move forward in life or have a healthy mindset if you are stuck in the past. Focus on now!
  4. Self-Care is Health-Care.
    Hygiene is very important. Brush your teeth, take a shower, wash your face every night, and MOISTURIZE YOUR BODY!
  5. Choose Happiness.
    Every morning is a new start. Begin the day with happy thoughts and reasons why you should be happy today.
  6. Forgive and let go.
    Holding in built up anger can cause MAJOR health issues. It’s extremely crucial for your health to learn how to forgive others and yourself most importantly, in order to live a peaceful life.
  7. Be Kind.
    Of course its important to be nice to those around you, but its even more serious to be kind to ourselves and your minds. Self talk has a huge impact on your mental health and development. When we are kind and at peace within ourselves it is much easier to give kindness to those who need it most.
    Most angry people are just hurting inside.
  8. Drink More Water!
    I am bad at drinking water.. It is not my favorite. Still, it has TONS of health benefits following with even more risks if you don’t drink water. It even helps with having healthy clear skin, as well as taking care of your body and mind.
  9. Avoid any negativity.
    If your anything like me, your very influenced by the energizers around you. If someone is obviously having a tough day and all they do is complain. Your first obviously going to try and help them out of their rut, right? But.. If nothing is works I’m doomed to negativity along side with them. I match energies in the room, so its okay to walk away if your not feeling the vibe of those around you. Trust your gut!
  10. No time for laziness.
    Stop being lazy!
    Its too easy to sit around all day and do nothing productive. For me though, doing so only increases my anxiety due to my internal list of
    things to do growing by the second. I need to quit procrastinating, get up and move!

I feel that everyone has principles almost identical, but the issue is keeping these in mind to continue to be the best person you could possibly be.

Daily Prompt Question: What is your favorite type of music?

This post is inspired by Daily Prompt Question!

What is your favorite type of music?

I like any kind of music, but I do have a specific type of style I like listening to. My favorite music is any kind of peaceful beats. Any beat that I can dance with and write in my journal too are the kinds of songs I mostly listen to now days.

When I was in high school I listened to rap, R&B, Pop, I still sing along if they happen to come on my shuffle but mostly grew out of that phase in my life. Before that I used to listen to country as a little girl with my dad, and rock with my mom. This was before I knew of any other kinds of music to explore, and I would just catch on to the music my parents listened to. I have Apple Music so when I’m reading or writing I usually play the focus playlist and I love everything that comes on. How could you not like the peaceful sounds of instruments harmonizing?

For days when I want something more upbeat and positive I listen to the Chill Mix my profile has created for me. It updates every Sunday with really cool chill vibes from new and growing artists. If I do happen to listen to actual songs instead of chill mixes and beats. I like my music to tell a story, and who can resist a beautiful voice? I also like to find rare/ not yet discovered artists, for that I use the Apple Music playlist New Music Daily. Honestly like any kind of music with good vibes and cool beats. I play around with Apple Music browse section a lot, because I pay for it every month might as well.. Right?

Daily Prompt Question

When is the last time you cried?

The last time I cried was on my dads birthday. I sat down to write in my journal that morning like every morning, (Well almost every morning..)

I had a lot on my mind and wanted to write it out, but not even a dent was made in the page before I closed my journal, turned to my boyfriend, and started crying on his lap.

He comforted me of course. ( He’s really the best ever)

It was a combination of emotions kind of cry. I was sad, sad because of the heart break we have done to each other, and sad that we are both to stubborn to apologize. Touched by flashbacks, good and bad. I felt homesick, wishing I could be there to do something to make his day special. Maybe it would help make up for all those bad memories. I was overwhelmed with emotions over my dads birthday. I do love my dad but our relationship is a weird one. Although, I’m thankful for a fresh start with him, and I’m grateful for our good memories. Those are the ones I will cherish. I hope to make more good memories with him and I hope he had a great Birthday this year!

This is a new thing I am trying to keep me focused on writing and posting everyday.

This poem was inspired by my Daily Prompt Question

What do you think happens after this life?

Afterlife

Nobody really knows what exactly happens after death.

Everyone has theories, stories, beliefs.

Still, no one really knows.

What happens after this life?

Do we turn into birds?

Chasing the horizon.

A bird, a new soul?

Do you think we will be able to look upon our loved ones?

Walk along our childhood streets.

Will they look the way we remember them?

I believe that after this life…

I am in my most sacred place I could ever think of,

and I watch my life as if in an interactive movie.

In paradise…

looking back at all the things I’ve done with this life.

Good, bad, everything, especially the moments forgotten.

The moments left unsaid.

The moments that loved ones cherish as well.

Nobody knows what happens after this life, but we all wish for the same thing.

Peace, and paradise.

This is a new thing I am trying to keep me focused on writing and posting everyday.
