Sorry I’ve been MIA..

I’ve got some big things going in my life.

I took some much needed time off from work. I was too overwhelmed and focused I had no time to post or write or do anything I enjoyed. All I did was sleep work and eat not health foods. Went through some tough days and needed to take a step back and focus on myself FIRST before anything else, but I’m back home now. The boyfriend and I are looking for a nice apartment somewhere peaceful and quiet to call home. I’m so excited for that, wish us luck!

We are looking into getting new jobs that would be really good for us both!

Things are great, and I have so many reasons to be happy.🥰

Although we have lots to do! Monday is gonna be the beginning of a very busy week!

Positive Affirmations Every Monday!

Many of us struggle daily with our inner negative Nancy. Although, I have discovered a way that helps me to block out negative thoughts. I like to write down positive quotes and affirmations that make me feel confident and more at peace.

When I find myself in a mood for the day, I refer back to the positive quotes and affirmations I’ve previously written to help snap out of the negativity. Happiness is a choice you have to choose everyday. I know all too well, how easy it can be to fall into that overthinking cycle of negativity, and how difficult it can be to get out. That’s the reason I make these posts every Monday to help others like me break that cycle.

Thinking Symptoms

  • Constant worry
  • Forgetfulness, feeling “scatterbrained”
  • Difficulty making decisions, second guessing yourself
  • Unable to concentrate on a task
  • Lost your sense of humor.

The overthinking brain cannot translate these thoughts into actions or positive outcomes, so therefore creates feelings of stress and anxiety. The brain triggers the “fight or flight” mode.

Emotional Symptoms

  • Anxiety
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Feeling powerless
  • Frequent mood swings such as:
    1. Anger
    2. Frustration
    3. Sadness
    4. Nervousness
    5. Irritability
    6. Insecure

Emotional stress involves the experience of negative affects.

Physical Symptoms

  • Racing heart
  • Headaches
  • Exhaustion
  • Upset stomach
  • Muscle tension
  • Not feeling like yourself

Stress can cause physical pain in your body if it’s not taken care of properly.

Just Write

I have this constant hunger inside. The urge to write it always there. For reasons unknown, I ignore my gut. Could it be the doubt inside telling me my art isn’t good enough?

There are so many things to write about. Endless topics that still need to be researched and shared with the world!

Yet, there I am, constantly at war with my intrusive thoughts. They tell me, “it won’t be any good so why even waste your time?”

Like a fool, I listen.

I glance at my notebook, my laptop, I could write something breathtaking but I don’t.

Just write!

It doesn’t matter if someone doesn’t ever read it.

Just write for YOU Brittany!

Nobody in this entire world, even the ones closest to you, will EVER look at you with shame because I aspire to be a writer.
