How To: Do The Work

How To: Do The Work

Today’s the day,
Today we begin the long hard journey to discovering YOU!

This is what
”Doing the work”
Looks like:

  • Create clear boundaries
  • Be aware of energy you bring to any situation.
  • Understand the ways of coping that have protected you in the past may no longer serve you now. (You’ve grown & changed)
  • Bring awareness to your behavior patterns, responses, triggers, Etc. Validate those feeling and replace them with new healthy ones.
  • Journaling! A beautiful way to get to know yourself and see your growth and progress.
  • DO NOT BLAME when your reacting to an emotion or feeling. Take a moment, a few deep breaths, and figure out why you are having that response.
  • Always have accountability!
  • Allowing your trauma to be apart of you but not define you. Learn and grow from your trauma.
  • Be kind and compassionate to your inner child. Positive self encouragement and self love spreads peace to everyone around you.

Hope you enjoy!

Have a beautiful day.

Affirmations of the Week

Affirmations of the Week

Hello!

Welcome, to this week’s Affirmations of the Week!

Positive Affirmations Every Monday!

Many of us struggle daily with our inner negative Nancy. Although, I have discovered a way that helps me to block out negative thoughts. I like to write down positive quotes and affirmations that make me feel confident and more at peace.

When I find myself in a mood for the day, I refer back to the positive quotes and affirmations I’ve previously written to help snap out of the negativity. Happiness is a choice you have to choose everyday. I know all too well, how easy it can be to fall into that overthinking cycle of negativity, and how difficult it can be to get out. That’s the reason I make these posts every Monday to help others like me break that cycle.

Affirmations

  • I choose to fill my mind with positive thoughts.
  • I am in the process of positive change.
  • I love myself.
  • I am thankful.
  • I have the power to create change.
  • I am doing my best.
  • I am worthy of all the good things that happen in my life.
  • I am more than good enough and I get better every day.
  • I am strong, confident and motivated.
  • I inhale confidence and exhale doubt.
  • I choose to focus on the net step, not the entire path.
  • I choose hope over fear.
  • My past is not a reflection of my future.
  • I have a beautiful heart and soul.
  • I am braver than I think.
  • My life is a gift and I appreciate everything I have.

Positive Quotes

Keep your mind on what you want to happen, not what you do not want to happen.

It doesn’t matter if everyone believes in you,
you have to believe in yourself to succeed.

An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship.
Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down
unless you allow it to get inside you.

Life is tough,
My darling,
but so are you.

Stephanie Bennett Henry

Your happiness starts with you.

Remember it’s just a bad day, not a bad life.

In the end, everything will be okay. If it’s not okay,
it’s not yet the end.

Fernando Sabino

Before you fall asleep every day, say something positive to yourself.

Enid Bagnold

Remember that you only get a limited time on this earth.
Today is a good day to do something that make you feel happy.

I hope you all had a beautiful Valentines ❤️

Enjoy this weeks post, and ill see you with another next Monday!
Have a blessed day🌻

Inspired by Buddha

Inspired by Buddha

Recently I bought a notebook with prompts inside and one of them was this quote.

Every morning we are born again. What we do today matters most.

-Buddha

Then says, with this quote in mind, what will you do today that matters?

To be honest I’ve been sitting on this page for awhile. Stuck on what to say to match exactly how it makes me feel.
It really inspires me and when I’m having a rough day it reminds me to live in the present, it motivates me to work on myself harder today, so that tomorrow I feel POWERFUL.

So here’s what I finally wrote to answer the question.

Today I will live life as if it were my last. We all should live like this.
Everyday is a blessing, tomorrow is never guaranteed. If today matters most, let’s make it the best one yet.

We should reach out to our loved ones more let them know they are loved, doing so also helps remind ourselves we are loved and being thought about as well.

Today I want to spend my time laughing and loving my amazing boyfriend. Enjoy each others company, jokes, leaving no time to dwell on anything negative from the past. I will feel my heart & thoughts with confidence and positivity.

I believe that having a good mindset today will help bring you good vibes tomorrow.

Do something to make today special, then keep doing that everyday after.

This quote brings out the best in me. It inspires me to be a better person than I was yesterday. I thought it was to good not to share with everyone. I hope this quote helps bring out the best in you today!

Hello.., Again

Hello.., Again

It’s been too long!

I’ve missed this side of myself. I constantly feel the urge to write or post, but always seem to talk myself out of it.

I travel a bit for work, and when I have down time just sitting in the hotel room, writing always crosses my mind.

Then fear takes over.

“what would I even write about?”

“what if someone looks over my shoulder and laughs at me over what i’m writing?”

“what if I don’t get any views? I probably won’t anyways, I should just go to bed for work tomorrow.”

Creating excuses for myself on why I shouldn’t do what I want to do.

Fear has lead in my life for years, and I’ve never noticed it until it came to my blog.

Writing is my release, it’s like my escape from my head and thoughts so when I wasn’t having that release on top of being trapped in a hotel room just to go to work and back to bed to repeat over again the next day, I kind of went insane.

Not literally insane, but I feel an enormous weight on my chest. Anxiety is through the roof so here I am, AGAIN.

Writing, releasing, finding myself again.

I’ve missed this so much and I want to overcome this fear inside of me. I want to live life fully everyday without my overthinking holding me back.

It feels good to be back!
