White Noise

White Noise

I love the sound of the wind

struggling in the window as we drive down the highway.

Its loud, yes and some people might even think its annoying

but me, no

I think it’s calming, like white noise in the background

Like rain on a tin roof

rain in general

so soothing

like white noise

the smell is so calming.

The world is a beautiful place

I’m so sorry I couldn’t see it before..

I’ve been slacking…kinda?

I’ve been slacking…kinda?

Well guys…
I moved back to Texas.

Sorry I’ve been away.

I originally was gonna take a week to give myself time to get settled and see the family without any extra stress on myself. One week turned into two..? How’d that happen?

Coming back felt pretty good. It’s nice to be back in familiar places, where you know the roads by heart. It was refreshing to see everyone too I missed my momma. ❤️ The week went by we got settled in, relaxed, socially drained. Then the next week came and still feeling drained/unmotivated to write something worth posting for my blog.

Although I’m proud that I kept writing in my journal, so technically I didn’t fail my goal to write everyday right?

To be real though, I feel setting my very first goal ever to writing everyday is a little hard on myself so the fact that I’m actually writing more than I ever have last year is progress enough.
Good Job Brittany❤️🌻

I need to remember it’s important to reward yourself for any progress made! Baby Steps

Anyways I am excited to bring you more positive vibes posts very soon!

Art of Dreams

Art of Dreams

Good Morning!

Did you dream lastnight?

When we lay our heads down to rest for the night,

Does your mind take you to a place of tranquility?

Do you have nightmares? Visions so scary you may never want to sleep again.

Do you dream about lovers? Past an present both alike for only one thing in common. You

When the sun rises and the birds awake, do you remember your dreams? Do you wirte them down? Do you share with others your experience?

Why do we forget our dreams? How do we train our mind to remember them as they pass and onto the other?

A dream is entertainment for the relaxing mind. Remembering a dream gets more rare as i get older in life, but when i do remember i charish it as if it were my very last.

Neon Sign

Neon Sign

I have many favorite colors,

its hard just to choose one isn’t it?

I love the colors of the mountains

when they meet with the sunrise, and sun fall.

I love the color of the ocean in Hawaii

Crystal clear you can see the sand at the bottom.

The reflection of the sky, white clouds soaring by

Where sky blue meets ocean blue.

I love the colors of a night sky

moon acting shy,

All the stars twinkling despite…

The city lights, beautiful by design.

No!

Nature can’t be compare to a neon sign.

Just Write

Just Write

I have this constant hunger inside. The urge to write it always there. For reasons unknown, I ignore my gut. Could it be the doubt inside telling me my art isn’t good enough?

There are so many things to write about. Endless topics that still need to be researched and shared with the world!

Yet, there I am, constantly at war with my intrusive thoughts. They tell me, “it won’t be any good so why even waste your time?”

Like a fool, I listen.

I glance at my notebook, my laptop, I could write something breathtaking but I don’t.

Just write!

It doesn’t matter if someone doesn’t ever read it.

Just write for YOU Brittany!

Nobody in this entire world, even the ones closest to you, will EVER look at you with shame because I aspire to be a writer.

Just write Brittany.

Get it all out!

You know it’ll make you feel better. Overcome your fear!

JUST WRITE!

( A letter to myself)

Beautiful Flowers

Beautiful Flowers

Flowers fragile and beautiful.
What comes to your mind when you think about a flower?
Is it love, loss, strength, positivity?

There are so many flowers in this world and like people.
They are all unique in there own way.

Flowers seem so fragile
on the outside
but on the inside
They stay stable during the harshest of weather.
Through wind, rain
Flowers remain
Calling the sun by name
Stretching, glowing
Even better now
After the weather

I like to see myself as a flower. Rare strong, beautiful, able to make it through whatever.
We all are,
Beautiful flowers

I actually took this picture^

Why You Should Read More Books

Why You Should Read More Books

Read to Stimulate Your Brain

Did you know that reading regularly helps in preventing Alzheimer’s and Dementia? Mental stimulation keeps the brain active and engaged. Just like working out your muscles in your body, your brain needs exercise to stay healthy and strong.

Reading Reduces Stress

Getting lost in a book can take all your worries away. Allowing yourself the time and attention to be able to get lost in a remarkably good story can be very relaxing and beneficial in many ways. For example, reading reduces your heart rate, which keeps the stress levels low.

Improves Memory

Reading stimulates our brains, which then creates connections between neurons that are called Synapses. During the process of synapses, your brain receives new memories and strengthens the existing ones. The more frequently you read, the better your mind gets at remembering and retaining all the new knowledge.

Improves Focus and Concentration

Reading helps train your intrusive thoughts a little discipline. To fully comprehend and absorb what you are reading requires 100% of your focus and attention. As you begin to focus, you can tune out any distractions happening around you, strengthening your attention span and increasing your concentration toward other aspects of life, not just reading.

Expands Vocabulary

Reading one book doesn’t impact your vocabulary overnight. It’s the consistency of reading and the exposure to words that help the definition to stick in our brains. Like exercise, you can’t expect results if we quit and give up. Reading daily works out the brain, and gets it prepared for new information to memorize, and store away for when the information is needed.

Reading Makes You Smarter

Having a consistent reading habit increases different types of intelligence in your brain. For example, Crystallized Intelligence, knowing and understanding literal facts, figures, and data.

Many books have in-depth knowledge on a variety of topics, subjects, and inventions. The more you read, the more information your brain stores.

Other examples include:
Fluid Intelligence-the ability to problem-solve, detect a pattern.
Emotional Intelligence-the ability to feel emotions and make connections to those feelings

Reading Improves Your Imagination & Creativity

When getting lost in a good book, your entire being gets teleport-ed to another realm. You experience the things happening in your reading as if it were your new life, new friends, new places, new experiences, and new lessons learned by new fresher broken hearts. Reading opens your eyes to all kinds of possibilities. When you read, you work out your imagination, increasing creativity.
